End Use Application

The clean, uncontaminated bales produced using BDS have a range of uses including:

  • Cellulosic ethanol production - a renewable energy source
  • Fire-logs
  • Straw-fired power generation
  • Stock feed (produces a better stock feed due to added protein from weed seeds and cracked grain retained in the bales; no deterioration of protein value usually encountered when residue is left open to the weather in windrows)
  • Stock bedding (clean straw that has not been in contact with the soil)
  • Straw board
